Hi people!!! Again, there is another and the last interview of the relay OS competition. This time I’m back with the winner, who is Nita D. She was an amazing competitor and her story did stand out extraordinarily for most of the judges. Her entry was very enthralling and a beautiful story. The link of her winning entry is down below:

Nita D:
First I would like to say that I wrote this story with the character given in the theme (Rudra, Aarohi and Swadheenta). I had no particular show or couple in mind. But DQ told me it required someone from any of the TV shows and with Rudra being there I just added Saumya and Bhavya. So I would like to apolozise if some one felt bad that the characters in the story are not as good/bad as the ones in the show.
1. What’s your name?
Ans. So my name is Nita.
2. Your age and where do you live?
Ans. I am 19 and I am living in Ahmedabad at present for my education purposes.
3. Your current level of education?
Ans. I am doing my Chartered Accountancy course in which I have completed with IPCC level and also doing my Bachelors of Commerce, second year.
4. Tell us about your family, friends, relationships.
Ans. My family includes my parents and a younger sister. I am my daddy’s princess, and mom is the person I always confide in. My parents always support me in everything I do. I feel I am really blessed to have such wonderful mom n dad. My little sissy is my best friend. We fight a lot (or did before I was sent off to university) but if somebody comes in between, ‘hum kaccha hi chaba jaate hai’ ;p
Friends, I basically have these different groups, like family friends, school friends, college friends, hostel friends, CA friends, (with their intersection being a null set) (sorry I kindda love math, don’t kill me for this…..) But I have a few close friends. Amd also I am very open to making new friendships cause I believe friends are an important part of life and life will be boring without them……
Relationships- Well I am single and ready to mingle……or actually I am commited to CA which is so possessive that it doesn’t allow me to be with people…(poor me L……kidding….)
5. How do you feel after winning this place?
Ans. Well to be frank, I had never expected I would I would come in runner-up, let alone come first. It truly came as a surprise and as I told u earlier, I was still in denial for almost a day….
6. How often do you write stories?
Ans. Well, majority of the stories mostly remain in my head. I have written hardly 3-4 shots on TU and hundreds in my head. So rarely. I guess one reason is I am a huge procrastinator. So I mostly take part in such competitions so that the deadline forces me to write.
7. Do you have any favorite author or books? If yes, pls elaborate.
Ans. Yes, I love to read so I have many favorites, but if I have to name one, it’ll be the Harry Potter series…. Its been what…almost 10 years since the last book was released…..but I still read HP fanfics….
8. Who is your fav reader or author of any fan fictions you read or write here?
Ans. My favorite reader is Harika di (TU name- VHM). She is one of those who inspire me to write. She gives true views on whatever I write. She even helped me with a fanfic I was planning to write. (Sorry di, I never wrote it though). Her comments make me keep going. She even finds praise for when I think I have written crap.
Fav authors are many- Harika di (Author of many ffs), Diya (Author of Serendipity), Anjali (Author of many swasan ffs), Shivika 22 Kapoor (I recently started with her Manzil), Aditi, Loneliness Abides (Author of Forbidden), Dreams97 (Author of Lies bring them closer), Thedreamsoul i.e. Sana (Author of The Story Of Us)
9. Which shows are you currently watching?
Ans. None. I used to watch Dance Champions but it got over 2 weeks back
(But does watching Game of Thrones count?;p I consider Christmas break well spent)
My note: (sure, you can put any shows. It Necessarily doesn’t have to be an Indian soap opera)
10. Which are your favorite couples currently?
Ans. Offscreen: Amir-Sanjeeda and Ravi-Sargun
Onscreen: Shivaay-Anika, Rudra- Saumya. (I really don’t know which shows are airing currently yaar Sorry)
11. Does writing energize you or exhaust you?
Ans. Its situational. If I am writing for an assignment or a research paper, its dead boring but if I am writing a story, or in my dairy, or just writing when I feel like, it gives me happiness.
12. When did you first learn that you like writing?
Ans. I guess I’ll have to give that to TU. When I saw so many aspiring writers coming up with their ideas and stories, whether good or bad, making blunders…..thats when I decided that even I should try a hand in writing.
13. Do you try to write what you want or do you focus on what the reader wants?
Ans. I always write what I feel like writing. But then when I proofread, I try reading it with the reader’s viewpoint. I basically try to see that whether the readers be able to understand this without knowing the further plot. As I know the plot, things seem obvious to me but that may not be the case with the readers.
14. For your winning OS, how much time did you spend on writing it and which scene was the best according to you?
Ans. I spent majority of the evening on the day on deadline for this OS. Roughly 4-5 hours, which includes time when I was bored or couldn’t think of anything.
Best scene: This occurs somewhere in the second half where the guy is comparing between the two girls. Differentiating between their nature using different feelings and elements of nature. I just love it. It was the first thing I thought to write when I read the theme. (Fitting the story around this para was a work though)
15. Do you wish to choose writing as your profession?
Ans. As of now, I don’t have any plans for making a career in writing, but perhaps in future, who knows whats in store….
16. What do you think are you strengths?
Ans. I am a good listener and a good observer. Also however I crib about it, but I can manage in stressed conditions and manage with 3-4 things coming up together.
17. What do you think are your weaknesses?
Ans. I am a big Procrastinator, which leads to things piling up in the end. I also tend to over-think.
18. What are your hobbies?
Ans. Painting, crafts, listening to music, reading
19. Do you think academic achievements matter to become a good writer?
Ans. Yes and No. I think it is very essential to have a good command over language and grammar. Bad grammar is really a turn off. Also when you expand your knowledge on things, you can be more descriptive in your writing
20. What would be the most amazing adventure you would like to go on?
Ans. The most amazing adventure for me will be living in a fiction world (eg., Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Half-blood camp) or in prehistoric times.
21. Do you have any role model or any person you look up to?
Ans. My Dad. Even if I become 10% of what he is, jeevan safal ho jayega…
22. Do you have any favorite singer/ which songs do you like?
Ans. Wrong question I mean the list is endless.
Favorite singers – A R Rahman. (I respected him already, but after seeing him perform live, Oh my God… I am in awe…) also Salim Merchant, Shekar, Arijit Singh, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and One Direction.
Songs – There are really a lot so I’ll just mention the genre. I like slow and romantic songs more. (But sometimes I dance up to fast n party songs as well.)
23. For you, what is the best way you use to get happy when you’re sad?
Ans. Music is my escape….like really….
24. What are some small things that makes you happy?
Ans. I don’t need big or expensive gifts or something. Just small appreciation when I do something for you will be enough, paying attention to small things, or just listening out to me when I am an emotional mess.
25. What is your definition of friendship?
Ans. Friendship is the most beautiful relationship in the world as it is not forced upon you but you get to choose your friends….. as I said earlier, friends are an important part of life and life will be boring without them.
You don’t need to meet or talk everyday to keep friendship. I have some of my friends to whom I speak hardly once or twice a month and still our bond is intact…..
26. Your birthday pls!!! (p.s: I would like to wish you on the day that gave the world such an amazing writer)
Ans. 9th of March
27. What’s the most annoying question people ask you?
Ans. “CA konsi college se kar rahi ho?” CA is not a degree which you get from a college. It’s a Profession whose certificate you get from ICAI.
“CA kar rahi ho toh dummy college kyu nahi ki.” (For those who don’t know, CA students prefer take their Ungraduate degrees from dummy colleges where they only have to sit for exams n nothing else). Yes, I have a college which requires mandatory attendance, and has hell lot of assignments, presentations and GDs, but I am managing fine, Thank you very much for your worries.
28. What are you looking forward to in the next 5 years?
Ans. To be successful in my professional as well as person life. (Probably I will also be married by then!)
29. Your favorite food, drinks and color?
Ans. Food- Panipuri, pastas, Puranpodi (maharashtrian dish), Dosa and mostly all type of sweets.
Drinks – Coffee is love…..
Color – Black, Lilac
30. What is the best thing you got from your parents?
Ans. My life and life style. They haven’t told me ‘no’ for anything…. what more can I ask for.
31. What was the most fun thing you’ve done in your life?
Ans. In college we had a compulsory 10 day-2 credit, course we had to take up. A part of mine included working in the college Mechanical lab where I got to work with bamboos and steel pipes, cutting, carving, drillings, hammerings, using various tools etc….it was so much fun…….
32. If you were given a chance to take only three things on a stranded island what would they be? And why?
Ans. 1) A raft/boat (if that’s not allowed then a book on ‘How to make a boat’). Why? Isn’t that obvious?
2) Food and water for survival purposes.
3) Phone cause I always keep saying ‘Praan jaye par phone na jaaye’
33. What is your take on the year 2017? How was this year for you? Any good or sad experiences that you wanna share?
Ans. 2017 was a long and busy year for me, with new challenges everyday. But at the end of the day, I came out as a stronger and a better person.
34. What would you like to suggest the people who wants to have better writing skills?
Ans. Just write and write and write…..practice make thy perfect…
If you want to go in this field, then write everyday…..about everything and anything….starting with 50-100 words and you can go on to writing complete chapters for you book/story.
Second, read a lot and read good books from good authors/publications….
35. Who are your Favorite actors and actresses?
Ans- Actor – Amitabh Bachhan sir
Actress – Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukon and Alia Bhatt…..all 3 are highly versatile actresses….
36. Favorite Singer, Song, Food ?
Already mentioned….
37. Favorite Language?
Hindi- it has so many words to describe feelings which can never be found in English, French and other languages……..
38. Last but not the least, what do you think of the interview and your interviewer?
Ans. This interview, as I told u earlier, was quite extensive…. Atleast more than I expected. And Annie, it was lovely meeting you…and I ain’t just saying this for formality…. I hope this newly formed friendship goes a long was…..

My teacher loves to treat little 10th graders like me as college students. I know AP Biology is equivalent to freshmen year of college but come on.
