Shivaay stepped out of the car, with a lot of thoughts rewinding the memories he had in the house. But the moment he reached, he got nervous. What if they don’t trust him? For that moment, they may get justified, but what about now? What if..? No need, he won’t get inside.

He moved back. Just then, his hand was caught by Annika. She looked at him and nodded indicating him to enter. But he nodded back by saying, “He can’t”

She then told, “What if they forgave you? What if you are mistaken? What happened to your trust on them? Don’t you trust your family who took care of you till now? Don’t you trust your brothers, who were with you thick and thin?”

He replies, “Annika, I trust them, but I am getting scared. What if it is the opposite?”

She then says, “You shouldn’t think negative now. Past is past. We are meant to forget. If you keep holding your past, then we won’t be able to move forward. Leave it here and come with me. I will hold you and will never let you leave me.”

He looks at her. If it was before, he would have smiled, but now, he didn’t have the confidence to smile even. Sometimes, we may think why should he feel guilty to kill his uncle, when he is right? But a person whom he considered as his role model is the one whom he killed. He killed one of his loved ones for his loved ones.

Annika entered the house holding his hand. He examined the house. It’s the same as before. That’s when she pressed his hand. He looks straight. He saw them starring at him angrily. He knew it was as per what he was expecting.

Do you think they can stay like that? No, they couldn’t! Seeing his face, Dadi forgot that she had a pact with others that they would act!

She immediately hugged him and cried. Everyone except Om and Rudra went and hugged him tight. He was happy to be there. He understood Annika was right. They can’t stay angry with him for a long time.

They looked at him angrily and went. He looked at them. Maybe, they couldn’t forgive him. Annika didn’t expect Dadi and others to forgive him. She was in fact surprised by their reaction.

She immediately went in search of Om and Rudra and saw them in Om’s room with tears in their eyes. She sits beside them and says, “Are you angry with him, even now?”

Rudra looks at her and said, “Yes, we are angry with him, because he killed my so-called father with his good hands. We should have killed him. We are angry with him, because he hid the truth.” Annika was shocked by revelation.

Om looked at her and said, “Yes, Bhabhi. This is the truth. That’s why we all were acting angry at him for doing it. Why should he sacrifice himself for us? Did he forget about us? He could have told the truth before itself? We told Bhavya and Gauri, today morning. I told them not to tell. You know only Khanna knew the truth and Shivaay had told him not even tell this to us or you!”

Annika couldn’t react after hearing this, why was he acting like a hero who is ready is to sacrifice his life for his loved ones? When the hero sacrifices, what about the loved ones? They wanted to kick, punch, shout at him in anger telling him that they don’t need a hero, they need him.

Annika, Om and Rudra went to his room and saw him sitting in the couch. Om and Rudra hid behind the wall to see his reaction. She then says it a little loud, “He thinks he is hero, who does everything for the family and his family doesn’t care about him.”

Shivaay looks at her. He turns to the other side. She goes and sits beside him. She smirks and says it again, “He thinks he is hero, who does everything for the family and his family doesn’t care about him.”

He was not in a mood to have fun, as you all know why. How could a man in his guilty state have fun? He then says, “They didn’t trust me.”

She looks at him, “You think they won’t trust you?”

He nods his head. That’s when Om came out of hiding place and said, “I thought he believes that we trust him. Now he doesn’t believe in us, what should I do Bhabhi? I am going.  Rudy, you also come with me. We will go. He should have believed in us too. We trusted him. We followed our instincts even after 5 years to know that he didn’t do it purposely. Then, why should we be with him? He don’t even care for us.

Annika turns to them and indicates them to stop. Shivaay looks at them with teary eyes. They all went and sat with him. Slowly, they all hugged him tight and starts crying.

Rudy says, “You thought we will never believe you. Our brain will force us to believe what we saw, but our love for you will not..”

Next morning shivay wakes up completed his morning chores and straight went to the office without having his breakfast

Shivay was sitting in car and he was thinking

Now, I’ll be married in some days and I need to focus on my to be wife not other people…. He was soo lost in his thoughts that he didn’t focused on his driving that his car almost hit by a tree when he realized he stopped it with a jerk.

She asks what’s wrong with this dress. He says your dress is shouting that you are a cop and have come to catch a criminal, do you want everyone to know this, dress like girls. She says I know how to get ready, I m going for rounds, meet me directly at hotel. He says don’t get late, I don’t like two types of girls, one who come too early and other who come too late. She goes. He says I swear…..

The reporter tells about the new years party. Aditi and Shivaansh make an entry together. He poses for the media and asks Aditi to do this with him. She asks what. He says please smile for my sake. She says my smile isn’t needed. The reporters ask him who is this new girl, is she your new GF. Aditi and Shivaansh argue. She looks for the criminal and says its matter of many lives. She meets Reporter FD. FD says I don’t believe that you are with Shivaansh today. Aditi says even I didn’t believe when a so called honest reporter got bribed, it was my mistake to trust a film reporter. She goes. FD says I have promised Shivaansh that I won’t tell anything about her dream, I hope you understand Shivaansh some day. Shivaansh comes to Aditi and says I m done with photos. She asks him to stay with his fans and click pics. She sees someone and says I think he is Gajni. The lady makes an announcement and asks them to play a game, write a wish and put the chit in the box. She asks Shivaansh to come on the stage with his date and tell his new years wish.

Shivaansh and Aditi go on the stage. He says lets do this. Aditi says if wish got fulfilled this way, I would have done this since childhood, shall we finish this soon, I have to find Gajni. She recalls her dad and thinks if my wish can get fulfilled, I just want to know what happened with my dad. He thinks why did she write Baba. He thinks to make Shivika memorial hospital dream true, he needs 500 crore for this. A girl hugs him and says the person you see first when new year begins, that person is with you for the whole year, I want to see your face. She clicks a selfie with him. His chit falls down. Aditi picks the chit and thinks what did he wish for, 500 crores, he has much money and even then he is greedy for money, its better I stay away from him, media will make stories about us. She puts the chits in the box. She sees Gajni and rushes after him. Shivaansh looks around. The girl says its going to be 12, I have to find SSO.

Shivaansh thinks to stay away from that girl. The lady says new years countdown has begin, we have dimmed the light to make this game interesting. Find your partners in darkness. The girl says I have found you in darkness, will you dance with me. Shivaansh thinks how to get rid of her. He gives her another guy’s hand and says okay. He rushes away by fooling her. The countdown ends. Aditi says you can’t go anywhere now. She holds Shivaansh’s hand. Lights come. Shivaansh and Aditi see each other. Na wo akhiyaan…..plays…. She says Gajni was here, I was catching him and you came in between. He says he would be still here, we will find him. The lady stops them and says I request you both to come and cut the cake. Everyone chants SSO and claps. Shivaansh asks shall we…. Aditi holds his hand. She says I have come to catch a criminal, I m doing this for you. He says we will find your Aamir Khan. She asks Aamir Khan. He says Gajni, we will catch him, just chill, its not a film, not reality, if this was my film, a dead body would have fallen down. She asks what. A dead body falls down. They all get shocked. He says its Honey, my stylist….

Aditi stops everyone and asks them not to click pics. She calls Nana and asks him to send back up at hotel. She asks Shivaansh to please leave. He says he is Honey, not a dead body. She says you have to go, please. Shivaansh looks at Honey in shock and holds his heart. He goes. Its morning, Shivaansh pays money to Avi for the hospital bills of Honey’s mum. He says tell her that her another son is still there, I will take care of all her needs. Avi goes. Khanna says it didn’t happen well, a mum breaks down when she loses her son. Dhruv and Radhika come to ask about Honey’s death. Shivaansh says we won’t discuss this at home, if Nani and Dadi know this, you know Dadi worries so much for me and Shivani. They say we know you both are Dadi’s weakness, and we are your weakness. Shivaansh gets a call from Shivani. Dhruv takes the phone and says Shivani steals our love. Shivaansh asks how are you, Om uncle, who is it, Gauri aunty? You both are legends, and your children want to become like you. Dhruv and Radhika ask what are they saying. Shivaansh says they will succeed if they try hard. He gets some shock.

‘’but Gauri the way the whole thing was dealt is wrong and he knows , he knows very well what you have done for all of us ‘’

‘’you all have done much more when I was hospitalised Om, now you cannot say this anymore and listen’’ she held his hands placing her tea cup aside and spoke ‘’remember whatever happens , happens for good and did you not realise this house is just 10 min away from your house, previously our rooms there were 10 min away and now houses , so not much of difference right’’ she smiled

He hugged her immediately ‘’how can you be so good to those who have done bad with you’’

Tej turned the chair with full force and it kept revolving. After a while he held the chair and sat on the chair and ordered Mishra to bring all the financial reports , Mishra nodded and left from there feeling uncomfortable.

It had been two hours since Annika got admitted in the hospital and Nikhil and other doctirs being with her. Shivaay was pacing from one corner to another almost breaking down out of guilt, stress, pressure, anxiety, and fear.

Nikhil came out and Shivaay ran towards him

‘’Mr.Oberoi…’’

‘’Nikhik…I mean Dr.Nikhil…Annika, Annika how is she now? What happened to her’’

‘’relax Mr.Oberoi…she is not completely okay, but she is not terribky bad. She has been subjected to immense stress and she fell unconscious, we have started her treatment and best of neruologists are treating her. But I have something to ask you, if you don’t mind’’

‘’Please Dr.Nikhil I am ready to answer everything If it could be of any help to you’’

‘’I just want to know what exactly happened for Annika being in this state’’

Shivaay looked for a moment and explained what all he said and did…Nikhil stood stunned

‘’I know, I know but seeing her state I don’t think we can wait for a longer time to start her therapy sessions and frankly speaking the more we delay the less the chances to revive…’’

Shivaay was dumbfolded and struck in a situation , he wanted to tell Annika but he was scared beyond a limit. Yes THE SHIVAAY SINGH OBEROI was scared to see his lady love in such a state .

Nikhil put his hand on Shivaay’s shoulder and said ‘’I can understand, I can understand what you are going through and for this I have decided that I would reveal the problem to Annika and ease you out of this. being a doctor it should be my responsibility too. Hope you wouldn’t mind’’

‘’No..as long as she is safe I have no problem…’’

‘’fine then , let her get a bit normal and then I will personally let her know everything’’

‘’thank…thank you doctor…can..can I see her once’’

‘’she is under sedatives , so I guess the midwife will call you once she wakes up..till then I suggest you to relax a bit , as it has been equally stressful day for you’’

Shivaay nodded and went to cafeteria , while Nikhil left to his home.

Some more hours passed by and the Mid wife Informed Shivaay of Annika’s consciousness

She looked at him and seeing him her heart melted , tears formed. He sat back and rubbed her hair

‘’Ssshhhh…sshhhh…chup …bilkul chup…I don’t want to hear you…you promised me…ypu promised me that you would listen everything and will not put yourself in stress, but you…’’ tears rolled down his eyes..

‘’I…. don’t…. know…. why,…… but…… I ….i….couldn’t….bear…..’’

‘’I am sorry Annika…I shouldn’t have started anything at the beginning….it was all my fault …the day itself is very bad, first I slapped you and then I started all this…it’s all because of me…I could never do something good for you..i just am ‘’

‘’Shivaay…Shivaay…’’ she called him near her

‘’No Annika…you were atleast good, safe, happy and healthy when you were not with me, the moment I came into your life , I have only created problems…’’

He couldn’t control his tears this time and turned aside to wipe them

‘’No more talks and now take rest, you have shown so much action for today…keep the rest for next time because I am sure you cannot let me and yourself be normal’’

She nodded …Stay here and rest while I enquire about your food and medicines…He turned to go while Annika called him , he turned

He nodded and dialled Om’s number instead of Gauri’s and kissing her forehead handed over the mobile to Annika and left from there.

Shivaay nodded but was confused , Annika giggled seeing his expression but controlled.

Next Morning arrived and so did Nikhil and his wife Catherine, along with Nikhil’s parents

Shivaay smiled and thanked them and left from there to get freshened up in his apartment and also to get some clothes for Annika.

After sometime Annika woke up and found whole of Nikhil’s family in the room

They first enquired about her health and then the mid wife came to clean her , so they left from the room, after getting freshened up, Dr.Nikhil and a  neurologist entered the room while everyone else waited outside

Anika is seen sitting in the hall holding the photo frame of Shivaay,close to her heart.She says in her mind-

“Where are you Shivaay?

Right that moment door bell rings.Anika gets happy and runs to open it.Opening the door she finds someone is standing with a big flower bouquet.Watching that closely,Anika turns her back.She says nothing.Waiting few minutes that person says behind the flower bouquet-See,I said na she is very adamant.Took the vow of silence when it’s time to attack.Smile appears in her lips but suppressed forcefully.
Shivaay Singh Oberoi peeps out of the bouquet.

Shivaay:Anika,look at me.I know I am late but……Without listening Anika pushes him aside with her hands then heads for outside.
Shivaay:Anika,where are you going?
Anika is in the lawn garden.She is standing near a wooden garden table crossing her hand over chest.Shivaay comes somewhat running and says-

Shivaay:I know you are angry but…..He could not finish his sentence as Anika turns to face him.Shivaay stops immediately watching her adorned with mangalsutra and sindoor.Anika’s face is glowing more beautifully.Shivaay blinks slowly.But Anika breaks his trance and starts searching something coming close to Shivaay.

Shivaay:What,what are you trying to do?
Anika:Where is it?Where?
Shivaay:What?
Anika:My sautan your phone!Kindly bring it out.He takes out the phone then gets shocked watching it.
Shivaay:9…95 missed calls???
Anika:Great na?So sorry that I could not score century in calling you! Anika’s voice raises-

Where have you gone vanished that you could not make a call or bother to check the phone?Chinta kar kar ke meri adhi baal hogayi aur aap?Kaise kar lete hai aap?Do you have any idea what I have gone through in these hours?Shivaay tries to stop Anika but that goes in vain.

Anika:Don’t try to stop me.These husband species think they can do anything of their wish!
Honge aap Shivaay Singh Oberoi par aapke faltu nakhre noorjahake mere samne chalne nahi wala,samjhe aap?Anika turns her back on Shivaay once again.
Shivaay scratches his head watching Anika getting furious like that.He says-

Shivaay:I think you have not eaten anything in lunch that’s why you are so angry,no Anika?
Turning towards Shivaay she says-
Anika:Of course.How can you miss that point?As you know very well that I am a cooking illiterate so I will be in empty stomach and that’s my only concern right?I was sick worried and you are cracking joke?Shivaay tries to hold her hand-

Anika:Just don’t touch me.She turns her back in anger,again.
Shivaay is feeling helpless to tell anything.Then,stepping ahead,he back-hugs Anika.She tries to move out but Shivaay does not let her tightening the hug.He is getting the sweet scent of Anika’s hair which is quite intoxicating.

Shivaay:I am sorry Anika.I did not do it intentionally.Just did not realize the time.You know,it’s not your work to worry and take pressure but mine.Why did you bother yourself?I can understand what you went through but trust me Anika I………He could not finish.Anika turns suddenly and captured Shivaay in her arms.She starts crying putting her chin on Shivaay’s shoulder.All her tensions,worries,fear,anger are melting down in his arms.
Shivaay does not stop Anika from crying.Instead he wraps his hands around her more closely while caressing her hair.Few minutes pass like that.Finally Anika retreats from the hug.She is looking down.Eyes are still moist.Shivaay wipes out remaining traces of tears.

Shivaay:Next time you should be careful before crying like that Anika.It can cost your make-up budget in extra money.Is it a fair deal?
Smiling Anika hits Shivaay in his shoulder.Shivaay too smiles back at her.

Shivaay:Shall we go inside?He tries to move but Anika stops him holding his hand-
Anika:One minute.My sindoor got smeared in your face.Let me clean it.
Taking one corner of her dupatta,Anika starts cleaning the patch of sindoor from Shivaay’s face.He keeps looking at her with a smile in his lips.Anika’s hair flies around Shivaay’s face getting the touch of air.

Anika:What’s in it Shivaay?Looking so big in size?
Shivaay:Remove the cover.You will find out.Then smiling,Anika removes the cover.Her mouth gapes at the surprise!
Anika:White rabbit?Awwwww….They are so cute.There are two rabbits inside the basket.Anika touches them softly.

Shivaay:Are you happy?

When Mahi nd Anvika coming out from the beach nd was about to leave… some one attacks Anvi nd injects Anesthesia to her…..Mahi takes her with him to his house when she fell unconscoious nd took care of her…in this process they both came close nd some one took their pics….Next day after she became fine ….saying thanks to Mahi she left to her home nd later she meets Shiv after he scolds her as she is not in contact with him from yesterday to talk with her on an important deal…..Later they both attends a meet with the Board of Directors nd discusses about the deal nd Anvi came to know that for that deal Malhotra also in the race…..later she asks excuse to all to attend Annika’s call…..By evening her phone rang nd she lifts it after seeing the display….
From the call nd wt type of situation she is going to face…..lets start….

Later Shvi nd Anvika completed lunch in the office nd after that they discussed on the matter related to next deal.. in the evening…

After eight years.

“Gaurav, don’t make mumma wait…we need to sleep baby.” Anika called the enthusiastic kid who was busy taping the keyboards to the music notes he was taught just an hour back.

At the age of just nine and half years he was a gem… people always expressed utter amazement when they knew it was this little boy playing the piano.

The decision had been the toughest one for both of them as parents but they worked for it…they shifted to Germany for the sake of their child and now they were the happiest parents to a very stubborn kid, she caressed her boy who showed her brightest smile.

Letting him be with his piano for a while she thought to call Samar… to ask when he was arriving home because there was a warning about heavy snowfalls in Cologne this evening.

But his phone went off after ringing for a while and though a little skeptical about his whereabouts she thought to fix something quick for all of them before the New Year’s party started.

“Mom…” the other kid needed her attention and she turned with the smile,

“Harshi.. You are done with your hindi article?” she asked about the article her daughter was given to write by her.

“Yes mom… and Rudy uncle says I did a good job.” She exclaimed with joy.

“You sent him that?” she was amazed of the technologies which made the world connected with each other to a distance of seconds.

“yeah… and even dadi loved that.” The not so small girl said helping her mum washing the vegetables for the dinner.

A shout followed by a silent attack on Harshi’s shoulder terrified both the ladies.

“I aaant ooo aley.” Pointing to the little snow out of the window the little boy hanged on her back.

“okay Gaurav, we will go but not now…it’s so cold na.” with the patience more than her mother, Harshita Singh oberoi took her brother in her arms and went away trying to understand the incoherent talks of her brother who was the best brother for her in the whole world even if he wasn’t BEST.

He always felt attached to the glasses, every time he looked at the glass vases he felt something was pulling him towards it but as his boss cum big brother had warned he brushed the feeling and concentrated in his files.

Typing a quick reply that he was coming in half an hour, he collected his things.

Laksh  : what is this yaar, u r sitting quietly here and their I m searching for my keys pls help me in finding them.

Anvi – Ragini. Even a feel somnething. Sanskar is too good, how can anyone not love him . in these 2 days even I have started developing a soft corner for him. ! but yes. What f im not swara. Cant he love me instead ?

Ragini looked sterned. – if you are not swara, then neither he can, nor he will. If ur not sawra , then , u cant be in life ..Anvi !

Ragini left the room with tearry eyes. Anvi looked on.

Shivaay tried to wake her up, but then he noticed her lips turning pale. He then understood that it is useless waiting for the doctor and took her to the hospital.

She was given drip and the doctor after checking her, called Shivaay to his room. The doctor asked him, “Is she having any anti-depressants or something else, which is given by the psychologist?”

As per what he knows, she doesn’t have any! So, he replied, “No, as per what I know, she is taking only some multi-vitamins.” 

Doctor then says, “That can’t be possible, as per what I have observed, she has missed one of her medicines, which usually have. This triggered her hunger. Can you show me the tablet if you have it now?”

Shivaay was shocked, but then he says, “I will show you the picture of the tablet packet, just wait.”

Shivaay message Om, who was at home to send him the picture of the tablets from her drawer and send it to him. Om does that and as he saw that, he got shocked. The tablets which she was having everyday, was not the multivitamin ones, which he thought she is having! They were anti-depressants.

He never checked her tablets as he felt they were multi-vitamins like he used to have sometimes. He then remembered the day, when she threw the packet of tablets, which were finished and her reaction when he asked whether she needs his tablets for that day. She was stammering while she was saying that she will buy them by herself.

He showed the picture to the doctor and the doctor said, “This is what I said. She must be consuming it everyday. She has to stop it slowly. Maybe, you know she must be consuming it since a year, that’s why she couldn’t get over it. So, this time she missed her dose, which triggered her hunger.”

Shivaay felt guilty as he knew even he himself was somewhere responsible for her condition. But what is something which hurt her this badly, that she has to consume these pills? He knew only the elders could give this answer.

After he talked with the doctor, he went to Pinky who was staying outside. He told her what the doctor said and asks her, “Mom, do you know why she is depressed?”

Pinky says, “It’s a long story. Me and Annika’s mom were close friends since childhood. We were in close contact till I got married to your father. Time passed, it was when Jhanvi was pregnant with Rudy. We went for a check up that day, when I saw Harshji sitting on the seat in a broken state. I knew Harshji was the husband of Gayatri. So, I went and asked what was the matter. It was then I knew that Gayatri met with an accident and she was brain dead. Little Annika was very close to her mom. What if one day she comes to know that her mom is no more? We were all tensed in this matter as well as broken that she has left us alone. So, we made sure that Annika doesn’t come to know about her mom’s death. That’s when Savitri, Annika’s aunt, that is, her mom’s twin sister, came to us and said, as she looks like Gayatri, she will marry Harshji and act as if she is Annika’s mom. But little did we know it will destroy Annika more than her mom’s death. As soon as she was pregnant with Sahil, she started showing her true colors. Since then, Annika suffered a lot. She has been thrashed by Harshji for mistakes which she hasn’t done. She has been called a burden by Savitri. She had to sleep in dark room, after all of this. Since, then she has been suffering. I saw her after years, when she was Om’s classmate. You know from then, she used to come to our house. As she went to college, she again fell into depression as she couldn’t both studies and house work. Savitri’s taunts increased as years passed. Annika was depressed to an extend that once she tried to suicide. She was about to jump off from the hostel terrace, but luckily that day, you saved her.”

Shivaay was shocked and says, “Mom, me? Did you mean that day when I saw her about to fall down from the terrace, when I came to drop Prinku after vacations? But how did you know that?”

Pinky continued, “Yes, that day, when you thought she was about to fall, in fact, she was about to take her life that day. I got suspicious, as you were facing me, you didn’t see her. But I saw her going to jump. Only I saw her trying to jump off. That’s why I shouted her name and you saved her. That day, I confronted her for doing it. Then she told me what happens at her house and that day, she came to know her mom died due to the accident. She regrets as she feels that it is because of her. I was shocked to know that she knew the secret which was hidden for years. This is why she is depressed  till now.”

Shivaay now understood why she was considering herself as a burden and why she left the house due to his accident! That’s when the nurse reminded them that only one visitor can be allowed. So, Pinky went as Shivaay assured that he will take care of her.

He felt guilty to make her suffer. He then decided to stay away from her. He had to do it as she deserves someone better.

[A/N: I swear I will kill this Shivaay today. How dare you do this to my Ani? Now you will make her eat again those pills!]

‘’Annika…I am a doctor and it’s my duty to reveal the truth to my patient, now I will be speaking to you as a doctor rather than your friend Nikku, so whatever I am gonna say, just listen and try not to react’’

‘’you are scaring me Nikku, I mean Dr.Nikhil’’

‘’nothing to get scared, just be calm’’ he asked her to take a deep breathe and he himself took a deep breathe

‘’Annika do you remember the first day you met me in hospital , I sounded weird to you, you asked me why do I need your reports when you came  here for Sahil’s sessions..’’

Annika looked on

‘’Annika…the fact is Shivaay has brought you here to me for your treatment along with Sahil’s sessions’’

‘’Annika , relax, everything is okay, take deep breathe’’

‘’Annika yesterday Shivaay has said that you are a patient of Anterograde Amnesia , do you remember’’

Anika reminisced the words and nodded

‘’Good, so the fact is I am the one who has taken up your case of reviving your lost memory and you are basically here to get your treatment done from me…The major reason of your coming to Paris is for you to get treated .’’

‘’but Dr.Nikhil I am ..’’

’’Annika, I know you are physically healthy, but this is something related to your mental health. You have forgotten some portions of your life and some portion of your life is faded, I am here to give you the therapy so that slowly, I mean very slowly you can yourselves bring back all those’’

Annika was almost shivering

‘’Annika don’t you want to remember what happened with you, don’t you want to meet your loved ones…remember Annika , you have a sister , you have a family waiting for you to accept them being You not as someone who doesn’t know them. I cannot proceed with your therapies if you are not ready or if you are half hearted. And only after your consent I can proceed. Though I cannot guarantee you of 100% recovery but I can assure you I will try my level best’’

‘’what if I don’t take the therapies , I mean still I will be fine right?’’

’’Annika, I am afraid that will not be the case….the treatment is now very vital for you, this is something scientific but let me try to explain in simple language, you have developed a spot in brain because of which you are not able to store the data,  if this spot spreads then there are high chances that you may develop some serious problems further and to avoid this I and my fellow Neurologist will be providing the required treatment. The problem may seem easy but it is more complicated than it sounds. While the Neurologist will work on the brainy things, the therapy will try to bring in the memories faded out and keep you calm with the Neuro problems’’

Annika could not believe what she was hearing, she felt she is a patient for a lifetime

‘’Annika having said all this , I am again saying there is no danger to your life and you are absolutely healthy…so don’t think much and stay relaxed. One more thing, I am going to discharge you by today afternoon, so cheer up. I cannot see my Jhalli being so shaanth (calm).. got it’’

Annika smiled

‘’that’s like my jhalli…come on give that smile of yours and let all of be relaxed’’

‘’Nikku…does Shivaay know all these complications’’

Nikhil signed the Neurologist to excuse them for a minute and he obliged …Nikhil sat beside Annika and said

‘’Annika , you know what you are very lucky to have Shivaay by your side. I don’t know what relation you both share but if he had not taken keen interest in your case then probably you would have not been here…he was the one who tried day and night and put pressure on the doctor in India (who treated you twice) to get my appointment. You very well know my reason of not coming to India, but Shivaay was adamant that if I cannot come there, he will ensure you will come here…he has done every possible thing to make the situation easy for you. It was me who asked him to reveal the truth of your illness to you, but it needed guts to make you prepare for everything…yesterday he did the same and trust me he did it in a best way, probably I could have also not handled the situation much better. He ensured you trusted him, me and I can already see the result. You gave no big reaction knowing the truth of your problem and the credit I am sure I cannot take .’’

‘’that means all this was preplanned….it was all preplanned by him to make me come here, he knew I wouldn’t agree if he says directly, so he made Sahil’’

’’No…No..You are thinking him wrong…he asked me to promise him not to reveal this truth , but today for him and his loyality towards you , I don’t care to break the promise….the article regarding Sahil’s sessions was published in the newspaper after taking permission from me. When he was enquiring about me, he got to know that I do take such cases, but not usually, so he requested me to take up Sahil’s case and listening to him I couldn’t deny…but I guess the terms between you were sensitive then , so he made sure Sahil see the newspaper and did you ever think why only the newspaper sahil showed you had the news and no other newspapers…it’s all done by him Annika…he is a really good human being despite being a ruthless businessman…so please, don’t misunderstand him in any case. ‘’

Annika sat shocked and thought

Anika TAM ‘’how can he be so good to me? I don’t know if I can ever repay his help. For just sake our age old relation which I don’t remember a bit he is doing all this. Is he for real ? ‘’

’’Annika…I must leave now as I have other patients to look for…mom dad and Catherine have come and they will give you company till Shivaay is back…and I am taking it a yes from you for the upcoming treatment …am I right?’’

The time passed by and Shivaay came back and released Nikhil’s family after having a good time with them along with Annika. Soon after they left Annika looked at him while he was busy with his work .

‘’Shivaay’’ she called

‘’Do you need something Annika. Shall I get you something’’ he asked concerned

‘’I want to go home’’

‘’Annika, home you mean India..Annika, I …I need to say you something..’’

‘’Why did you hide this from me ? ‘’

She cupped his face and brought him near her

‘’Why do you care for me so much Shiv? How can you be so good with me? What good deeds have I done to meet you in my life? Shiv if you had wished there would be a line of the best girls from all over the world , why me  then?’’

‘’Because you are my Stupid. Do I need to answer anymore ?’’

‘’Shiv’’  she took his name

He pulled her towards him leaning towards her caught her lips , she closed her eyes letting her tears fall , drowned in his yet unexpressed love, reciprocating her yet unexpressed love.

They broke the moment when they heard footsteps sound which got louder as they go neared.

He quickly wiped her tears and set his hair

‘’Surpriseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee’’ Om and Gauri rushed in

‘’Om’’ ‘’Gauri’’ Shivaay took quick steps while Gauri rushed towards her sister

‘’Diii’’ she hugged Annika while Shivaay hugged Om

‘’You both here? I mean what a pleasant surprise. How do you know that we are here in hospital’’

‘’Shivaay…relax…I had spoken to Annika yesterday. You dialled my number instead of Gauri’s and then I and Annika decided this’’

Shivaay and Gauri looked at Om and Gauri stunned

‘’Dii…whatever it is I am so so happy to meet you after a long long long long long…’’

‘’Gauri…..’’ Annika hugged her tightly

‘’Dii…how are you now? What happened ? when Om brought me here I was tensed ‘’

‘’Gauri…’’ she caressed her face lovingly

‘’What happened dii’’

‘’You are my real sister right Gauri. I couldn’t identify you, but I always felt you are very close to me, someone I can never ever lose and would always protect ever since I met you and see the fate ,we turned to be real sisters’’

‘’Dii’’ Gauri had tears of happiness and she hugged her tightly ‘’you remember everything. I felt so sad when I got to know this and couldn’t tell you the same. You know I was dying to tell you and ‘’

‘’Then why didn’t you say? ‘’ Annika asked still hugging her

Shivaay looked at Annika while Om held Shivaay’s hand

‘’Dii…forget it na…you know now right…I am so happy …so happy that I can’t explain you in words….you know I kept all your memories intact …those were the only ones I had with me then, but now I have you , my sister , my dii by my side…what more do I need…’’ she spoke amid tears

Annika had tears for other reasons, soon the tears turned into Hiccups

‘’Then what happened Annika’’ shivaay came near her and asked

‘’I am the most unluckiest person …Everyone of you had kept the memories related to me, while I have nothing, nothing to reminisce..i lost my…I lost my memory…I couldn’t recognise my sister, I could recognise my one and only friend, I don’t have anything to share ….i am’’

‘’Dii please…please don’t cry, I can’t see you like this’’

‘’Annika…relax…’’ Om tried to console

Shivaay took steps back and turned his face not able to see Annika like that

Annika wiped her tears and spoke ‘’now I have decided, I will try and risk my everything but remember everything. Every damn thing. I will even risk my life if needed’’

‘’Annika’’ Shivaay screamed

‘’Dii…please don’t say so….i really don’t care if you remember the old days or not. I am happy you know that I am your sister from same mother and you know what we will make new memories…’’

Annika and Gauri hugged each other as tight as possible

‘’Mr.Oberoi’’ the midwife called breaking the moments between everyone present in the room.

‘’Yes’’ Shivaay replied

‘’The discharge papers are ready’’

‘’Fine, I will be coming along with you’’ he took steps forward

‘’Shivaay, I will accompany you’’ om joined Shivaay and they left to complete the formalities

‘’Dii…shankar jii pe bharosa rakho..woh sab theek kardenge’’ (believe in Lord Shankar ji, he will make everything fine)

Annika sighed

‘’Dii…I have something else to say ‘’

‘’Shall we leave’’ they both heard the words of Om

‘’I am dying to leave from here Om’’ Annika giggled

‘’Shivaay is talking to Dr.Nikhil regarding the next appointment and he will join us in the car, so I think we should go down. Let  me pick the bags’’

Om picked the bags while Gauri held Annika’s hands and all three left the room and went downstairs

Soon all four left to their apartment. Getting refreshed and settling , Gauri went to prepare meals, when Om and Shivaay stopped her

‘’Gauri..i think you should spend time with your sister, enjoy the moments Gauri while Om and I take care of Kitchen’’ shivaay spoke and Om nodded

‘’Bhayya..you too got tired let me do this, waise bhi dii is sleeping’’

‘’Gauri wouldn’t you listen to me. ok fine tomorrow cook the meal for all of us , your khumkaran dii will also be happy to have food made by you. For now go and spend time with her and yeah wake her up because it’s her medicine time too’’

Gauri nodded and left from there

‘’Om…Prinku and Rudy are missing. I know it’s only 3-4 days but it still feels a long time’’

‘’Shivaay, 3-4 days we are missing dumbo and Prinku, how Gauri would have missed Annika for years, I don’t even want to imagine that’’

‘’True Om, in all this Gauri is the one who has suffered and who is suffering the most. Annika had forgot so it is still better, but Gauri ..’’

‘’Anyways I am happy now , atleast she is with her sister, though Annika doesn’t remember but atleast they are together’’

‘’Don’t worry Om, Annika will soon remember everything , I am sure about this’’

‘’so back to what I was saying should we call Rudy here?’’

‘’No leave it, he has just started handling everything there. I think we shouldn’t disturb him’’

The brothers indulged in talks and Gauri listened everything as she came to take water for giving medicines to Annika. She came took water, smiled uncomfortably and left hurriedly towards Annika’s room and closed the room

‘’Gauri…what happened?’’

‘’Dii….i have something eveyr important to say …take medicines and then I will tell’’

Annika took medicines and looked at her, Gauri explained everything regarding Rudra’s birthday and Obros not celebrating their birthday’s.

Annika slipped into thoughts and called Sumo.

Shivaay sat on the chair near her bed and looked at her with guilt inside him. He gave pain to this poor soul.

Why did he ignore her love? Why did he gave pain to her? He wanted to give pain to himself for hurting her. He forced her to sleep on the floor due to his thoughts of revenge. How can he do this to her? She loves him and he insulted her love. He should stay away from her. She deserves someone better. She deserves someone better than him for sure. For that, he has to leave her.

As Shivaay was lost in his thoughts of leaving her for her happiness, Annika tried opening her eyes, adjusting to the light emitted by the tube light. She looked around and panicked seeing the hospital. She is scared of hospitals, as it constantly reminds her of her mother’s death.

She gets up suddenly and screamed, “My mom left me here. She died because of me. I don’t want to stay in this place. This place witnessed the death of my mom. I don’t want to stay here. Those people with white clothes…I don’t want to see them. Tell them to get out.”

Shivaay, suddenly got up hearing her screams, hugs her tightly and says, “Annika, calm down. I am here. They won’t come. Nothing will happen to you till I am here. Calm down.” He then indicates the nurse who was staying outside and continues, “Annika, don’t cry. No one will come. Calm down.”

Annika continued crying hugging him and by the time, the nurse came to the room with the sedative and injected it to the drip. Slowly, Annika’s grip on Shivaay started loosing and slowly she drifted off to sleep.

Shivaay knew if they stay in the hospital for long, then she would panic more. He then arranged her discharge papers and took her home. He then laid her on the bed and went to change. He didn’t have bath since they were in the hospital.

After having a bath, he went to make a soup as he felt she should be away from oily food as it make cause stomach problems. He then sat on the couch near the bed and was lost in his thoughts when he suddenly felt a feeling of someone starring at him.

He turned to see who it was and saw her starring at him. He too got lost in the depth of her brown coffee beans eyes. She is aromatic and changes everyone like how a coffee changes the plain water when its boiled.

He breaks the eye contact and asks, “Are you okay? Any problem now? Should I call the doctor?”

She replied weakly, “I am okay. No problem. Just that I am hungry.”

He then says, “I have made soup for you, drink this.”

She looks at it and says, “Who eats soup nowadays? Anyway, I need Aloo Puri.”

He looks at her like how a father looks at his daughter when she is naughty and says, “You will have to drink it and anyway, I know you love the mushroom and pepper soup.”

She smiles widely and opens her mouth like a kid. But she remembered that he wasn’t talking to her before as she swallowed the first spoon of soup.

As he forwarded the next spoon to feed her, she indicated him to stop and says, “Did you forgive me? Will you love me again as before? I didn’t act Shivaay. This is the truth. I don’t know how to make you believe it.”

Tears started flowing from her eyes. He immediately wiped them and says, “Annika, I know the truth. Don’t cry. I can’t bear it anymore. I am really sorry for troubling you. I, in fact, was a witness to your state and I threw the thorns. I don’t think so I deserve your love. You deserve someone better.”

Annika looked at his eyes and says, “You think I can live without you. Nothing matters, except that I love you and you love me.”

Shivaay tries not to see her face and says, “We will talk about this later. First, have this soup” and forwarded the spoon to her.

She quietly drinks the soup and slept on the bed, holding his hand. He then slept with her for the first time, feeling guilty about his deeds. He felt himself being the villain in the life of a girl, who loves him deeply.

His guilt is pulling him into a deep pit and he is allowing himself to fall into it.

[A/N: Don’t worry, readers! I won’t separate them for long, as I am not cruel! I am really sorry for giving a small update as the next chapter needs to be considered!]

She woke up that day with a smile as she saw herself in his arms. She was happy that he understood her. But little did she know that he knows everything about her past.

She gets up and goes to have a bath. He slowly wakes up, but he didn’t open his eyes. He is always like that he opens his eyes only after 5-10 minutes. He then hears the sound of the bathroom door opening and then acts as if he is sleep.

She looks at him and thinking he was sleeping, she goes to make coffee. As he heard the sound of the door closing, he gets up and runs into the bathroom.

Meanwhile, she comes with the coffee to see the bed empty. She then keeps the coffee on the table and gets out. He then comes out of the bathroom and checks if she is looking and drinks the coffee and then thinks, “Perfect!”. Then an idea strikes him and he speaks a little bit louder, “Such a tasteless coffee. I am going to throw it through the drain.” and he acts like throwing coffee out.

Annika, who hears it, comes out of her hiding place, smiles and says, “The cup is empty.” She then giggles. He looked at her angrily.

She then pouts and says cutely, “Don’t glare at me angrily, I will d…”.

He cuts off her and says,Don’t even speak of death. You don’t even know what happened to me at that time. I was and am regretting each word I was saying to you till the past two days.That moment when you fainted into my arms, seeing your lips pale, the dark circles on your eyes which I failed to notice due to my stupid anger, the scars which you hid with your long sleeves….It literally scared me.”

He starts crying and continues, “The moment I never wished, came into reality. I didn’t know what was happening. I don’t know what was inside me, is it the fear of losing you or losing myself. Ani, promise me whatsoever happens, don’t leave me and go. I don’t want to lose you. You’re my family. If you’re angry with me or sad because of me, then slap me, hit me, shout at me, do whatever you want, but never try to hurt yourself again. I can’t see you like that anymore. Those 12 hours, seeing you like a silent sick bird, made me hurt here, it was like 12 years. You don’t deserve me, you deserve someone better. Someone, who looks after you better than me, and I am saying the person who gets you is the luckiest man in the world. I literally am not worthy enough to get your love. Don’t think you will hurt me, if you leave me for your happiness. If you’re happy with someone, then that is enough for me.”

He then opens the cupboard, and takes out some papers, “I took these papers thinking that you’re nothing as compared to me. But I was wrong, I am nothing in front of you. Sign these papers, leave me and be happy with someone else. I am sure; I will never regret, instead I will be happy seeing that you’re happy.”

She takes those papers from him and finds out that they were divorce papers. Tears which she was trying to hold on poured out, but then also she controlled and says, “You know you’re Idiot Singh Oberoi. I was thinking of starting a new life with my husband. You know I decided even the name of our kids. You know I thought to name them – Ansh, Shivika, Vansh, Vanshika, Shivansh, Shan, Anshika, Anshi….And you, idiot, is trying to taking my husband and my love away.”

Tears started flowing out of her eyes, like water flying out of tap, but she continues, “If I wanted to leave you, then what should I do with the love I had for you? Answer, Mr. Oberoi! Tell me, if this is what you have to say, why did you love me? If anyone asked the reason why I loved you, I can’t even explain what the reasons are, because it is even deeper. Leaving you is like…..No! Don’t leave me, I really love you. It’s not that I deserve you or you deserve someone better or not, it is whether we love each other or not.”

Shivaay, like a fool, again says, “Ani, please understand what I meant. It’s not because of you, it’s because of me. You are already pained by the wounds of childhood and I am causing wounds to pain for you.”

Annika got angry and caught him by collars, “You know, you don’t have to leave me, stay and heal me with your love.”

Shivaay looks at her and hugs her tightly. She too reciprocates. Then he suddenly leaves and smiles naughtily, saying, “Wait, what were the names you were telling me? Ansh, Shivika, Vansh, Vanshika, Shivansh, Shan, Anshika, Anshi…then….I never knew you were this naughty. How much kids do you need? I will help you.”

He winks and she blushes. He goes to kiss her, but she runs away from the room.

After half an hour shivay finally reached roy mansion he gets out of the car and was mesmerized to see roy mansion the fountains pools and big large gate which was opened for him he gets out of his car and removes his glares (shivay wears glares at night also ) in order to see it more properly.

Anika was sitting on her window when she noticed a car entering the roy mansion her eyes were just there to see who gets out of it and to her surprise it was shivay

Anika was hell shocked to see him

“Ftw!! What he is doing  here peecha hi nhi chodd raha hai yeh insaan… Why he’s here Anika was panicking hopping in tension”

“What if he sees me here I am sure dad and oberois are best friends he may came here for some work….but what if dad forgets that he’s my boss and calls me down then he’ll k ow that I belong to a rich family! Oh god help me!!”

“Oh! Shivay surprised me by coming here…. But I know you can here with a bouquet to meet your to be wife right? Oh well I know that….” mr roy said

Shivay bows his head down and smiled a bit

“Wait I’ll call her
Mishti…. Go and call Anika” Mr roy said

“Roy…” shivay said interupting

“Yaa…ya.. Anika Roy…” mr roy smiled a bit

“What to do now…. I wish I was a spider man then I would have stick on that wall or jumped out of the window Anika was walking here and there in tension
Wait!! Anika you should pretend that you are asleep and”

Anika goes inside the blanket when the maid comes she sees Anika sleeping so she went down

Maid- sir Anika mam is sleeping

“Oh! So wake her up!!” Mr roy said

“No.. No… No need of that let her sleep already she’s not well she should rest and I should leave Mr Roy
Shivay stands up”

“Okay shivay we’ll meet soon” Mr roy said

“Sure…” shivay replied

They shook hands

Just then a servant enters
“Sir, Anika mam’s medicine”

“Ya.. Keep it here.”

Shivay notices that its yoyo tonic in servant’s hand which he remembered that Anika was also given by the doctor

That’s yoyo tonic Anika was also prescribed this tonic by doctor it’s very weird

that’s really weird that Anika teivedi my employee and Anika Roy my fiance both are not well on same day and both were prescribed the same medicine…. Well,  I hope Anika Is fine I meant Anika trivedi is fine no no.. Actually  both Anika should be fine… Oh god what the hell! Sumo stared at him surprised

She sat down in her seat and tried to indulge in work..Rudra looked at her and turned his face aside , his fists clutched.

Rudra TAM ‘’is it something important that she needs to talk to me. she seemed nervous too. Is she in some problem. Why should I care? I mean she asked me to be professional so I am right in what I said..But still I want to know, I can’t take a chance , should I approach her and ask. She seems very nervous even now’’ he thought looking at Sumo who was indulged in her own thoughts at the moment

Sumo TAM ‘’I donno what is wrong with him, why does he think every personal matter will be related to me. Annika didi asked me to speak to him, I wanted to say the same but he thinks he is smart in reminding me my words. God , I should have said to Annika didi about our constant fights , then she herself would have spoken to this Dumbo and I would have been out of this situation. Huhh…what should I do now, should I go and speak to him or should I call Annika didi …no wait I shall take help of Gauri didi…no no, I cannot because if Om bhayya is around then he will get to know everything….uffff…where the hell I am struck’’

‘’uhhu uhhuu’’ Rudra fake coughed bringing Sumo out of her thoughts

Sumo gave a sharp look at him

‘’Is…is everything fine’’ he asked

‘’mmm’’ she bent her head looking at the files

Rudra TAM ‘’How rude, now I am not gonna ask her’’

Sumo closed her eyes tight and released a deep sigh and thought ‘’what the hell I am doing. Can’t I behave normal. He atleast asked me, I should have immediately told and ended the matter’’

‘’Sir , Tej sir has called for a meeting in 5 minutes and asked You and Saumya mam to be present ‘’ Mishra informed breaking Sumo and Rudra’s thoughts

They both nodded and looked at each other

‘’Rudra..’’ sumo called

He looked at her this time softly

‘’I need to say something , it’s about Ann’’

‘’Saumya can we talk after the meeting with papa. If you don’t mind’’

She nodded and both left to meet to Tej’s cabin which is Shivaay’s cabin…knocking the door and listening to ‘’come in’’ they both stepped in

‘’Have your seats’’ Tej almost ordered and they bith took their seats

‘’Papa…is everything fine…I mean , I just met you sometime before and then you again called us’’

‘’do you think I will call you without any reason.’’

‘’no, I mean , not like that, I see you worried’’

‘’really, when did you start seeing my worries’’

‘’I…’’ Rudra didn’t utter anything else

‘’Anyways, I called you both to know, what is Shivaay upto these days? What’s he handling and what are you both handling. I want every small details ‘’

‘’But Uncle’’ sumo started speaking but stopped when Tej gave a sharp look

‘’I think I should be called as Sir or Mr.Tej Oberoi or Mr.Oberoi. this is office and I am neither your uncle or you are known to me..Ms., Ms,’’

‘’Saumya Tendulkar’’ Rudra answered being irritated

‘’Ms.Saumya , got it’’

She nodded being scared a bit

‘’So yeah , now I would want you both to answer me , whatever you know’’

Rudra looked at Saumya and stood up shocking Tej

‘’Mr.Oberoi …I donno what you are upto, but I am not going to answer these stupid questions of yours in my working hours. Moreover whatever Shivaay bhayya does I never checked because I believe him, I believe whatever he does , he does best. Infact I am shocked what are you doing in his cabin and why are you so desperate to know about all this. Mishra ji has even informed me that you asked for all the financial details related files the moment you stepped here. Listen Mr.Oberoi, I know I am youngest and inexperienced , but onething I know, unless Shivaay bhayya agrees to let you know everything , I definitely am not going to disclose anything’’

‘’Rudra…don’t forget you are talking to your dad’’

‘’I haven’t , but you too don’t forget Mr.Oberoi that you are now in MY OFFICE, that office which Shivaay bhayya has asked me and Saumya to handle in his absence. So basically, it is my turn infact our turn to give you orders and you to agree to our orders. And onemore thing Saumya can call you uncle or Tej , but I think you will not feel good to call her Madam or mam’’ he banged the table

‘’Rudra, please , please relax…I think we should leave ‘’

Rudra stopped her

‘’I donno what have got into yours and Om’s brain…even Prinku in that matter. Here I am trying to get your rights and you three are not ready to help me out’’

‘’we don’t need anything from you, because we know we have Shivaay bhayya to give everything even without our asking. And now if you would allow us , we have many things to handle. And onemore thing, don’t even try to look into any matters without my permission’’ Rudra held Saumya’s hand and left from the cabin

Sumo just looked at him…after a few seconds ‘’What? Why are you staring at me like that?’’ he asked her

‘’Nothing…I never knew you love Shivaay bhayya so much that you can go against your father’’

‘’If I had to choose only one among my family in any case , I will chose Shivaay bhayya, because I know he will make everything right.’’ He answered her and started going to his / their cabin.

‘’Rudra…if you have 5 minutes can I talk to you something’’

He stopped, she came from behind

‘’Annika didi has called me’’

His eyebrows frowned

‘’She said that she wants to meet you and …’’

‘’Is she fine? I mean she is not sick right?’’

‘’I am not sure , she didn’t sound healthy though…’’

‘’whaat?’’

‘’But relax, she isn’t super sick too , I mean I could feel that from here voice’’

‘’What’s the matter Saumya’’

‘’Annika didi wants to meet you, she asked us to reach Paris in two days. She asked me to inform you the same. Also asked me to tell you that, your coming to Paris should not be known to Shivaay bhayya or Om bhayya’’ she quickly vented out everything

‘’What is she upto? Do you have any idea?’’

‘’no Rudra, I said what she asked me to tell you, but I could guess she dearly wants to meet you’’

‘’Fine , we will go then, you know I cannot deny her either. But what about work’’

‘’That’s what even I was thinking of’’

‘’I definitely can’t give this over to Papa. So may be we should work for more hours and then should go ahead . what do you think’’

‘’sounds good’’

Tej who listened to their convo smirked with those words of Rudra. They both did work till late night and Rudra dropped Sumo to her house and got back to OM.

Dadi called Rudra the moment he stepped in

‘’Dadi…you are still awake?’’

She smiled and said ‘’when my grandsons are making me proud , then I just want to take more care of them, so I am waiting for you’’

‘’Dadi is everything fine?’’

‘’Yeah…and I wanted to say, don’t worry about the work and go and enjoy in paris…’’

‘’but dadi how do you know I am going to go to Paris’’

‘’I am your dadi and I know everything’’

‘’But Dadi it seems difficult because till I come back who will handle things here. Shivaay bhayya has given the responsibility with much trust and I don’t want to be a flop’’

‘’Rudra, you have really grown mature in three to four days. I am missing my , what does everyone call you, yeah, I am missing my Duffer Rudra so much….’’

‘’Dadi….huhh…don’t worry…once bhayya is back, I will also be back to my original form’’

Dadi smiled patting his cheeks

‘’Anyways regarding work don’t worry, I will take care…I am still young Rudy boy’’

‘’Really…I mean you will handle..you know you are the best’’

Two days passed by in a jiffy and Rudra and Saumya reached Paris……Annika sent the car without Shivaay’s knowledge to pick them from Airport.

‘’Om…do you know how to prepare Protein shake?’’

‘’What did you say Protein shake?’’

‘’yeah I said the same’’

‘’Are you missing Rudra so much that you want to have Protein shake?’’

‘’Why can’t I miss my friend?’’

‘’no..i mean if you are missing him talk to him , why to drink Protein shake’’

‘’offo Om, can you just not answer what I asked. I have to prepare Parantha’s too’’

‘’What has gone inside your brain. You are saying as if Rudra and Saumya are coming and you are making arrangements for them’’

‘’No…I mean ..Gauri why is Annika behaving so weird….she was saying that she will not stay here in this apartment and she wants me to book the opposite apartment. Did you both fight over something or something happened’’

‘’Really…I mean nothing happened bhayya. She was good with me’’

‘’I must say Om…she is the most weird person in this planet, not onky planet in this universe, no not only in universe, in this Galaxy, not only in this Galaxy, in this entire entire…whatever’’

‘’Bhayya….i am also here and let me remind you , you are talking about my sister’’

Om looked at Gauri and then thought about Annika’s words and when he was about to say something to Shivaay the door bell rang

‘’I will just look who’s there’’ shivaay excused while Gauri pinched him and asked him about Protein shake recipe which Om started to explain

‘’Bhayyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa’’ Rudra screamed hugging Shivaay the moment Shivaay opened the door

‘’Rudra…Saumya..you guys are here…I mean..’’ he hugged Rudra and patted Saumya

Om came running to him and the trip had Obro moment while Sumo , Gauri and Annika hugged.

Rudra broke the Obro moment and went to Annika and hugged her ‘’Bhabhi’’

Everyone were stunned and Rudra looked at them and then at Annika and said ‘’ohh sorry Didiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii’’ he again hugged her

‘’By the way duffer…how come you left work there and came here that too without informing us’’ Om questioned and then stared at Gauri

‘’You too didn’t say that you are in Paris when you should have been in London’’

‘’question to my question is not an answer’’

‘’offo….don’t say anything to my Rudra, Om’’ Annika spoke

‘’Wait….don’t tell me you planned his arrival here.’’ Shivaay said to Annika

Annika winked and upped her imaginary collars

‘’that’s what I was figuring out..Annika’s words and Gauri’s actions were pointing to something like this’’ om gave his input

Gauri, Annika and Sumo hified with each other

‘’That means you three planned all this’’ the Obros spoke in uninon

‘’offcourse…who else can plan so perfectly’’ Gauri spoke with pride

‘’but whatever and whoever did I am so happy to have my brothers at my side’’ Shivaay held his brothers by his side and spoke

‘’Great…now Rudra and Sumo, get freshened up in ShivOm and our room respectively, while I shift my luggage to the opposite appartment’’

‘’Dii…it’s okay we will move’’

‘’Rudra …have some shame, you and Sumo are very young to go for a live in’’ Annika spoke at once while everyone else’s eyes came out of their sockets , while Annika cupped her mouth

‘’I mean, I was just…’’

ShivOmGauri laughed and Rudra and Sumo were embarrassed and ran to their respective rooms.

‘’Come Annika I will help you in shifting, even I will have to shift ‘’

‘’What do you mean you will also shift’’ om asked

‘’You and Rudra will be sleeping here in my room, Saumya in Annika-Gauri’s room, Gauri-Annika will take a room , and I will take the other room in opposite house’’

Om looked sadly at Gauri, while Gauri blushed and walked towards Kitchen to cook

Shivaay who observed all that , went to Om and placed ‘’Sorry, I know I am kind of separating both, but if you say, I will talk to Annika and you both can share the same room…I mean I have no objection you know’’ he winked and Om left from there embarrassed in pretext of helping Rudra

‘’Om, You are moving in the direction of Kitchen , while Rudra is there’’ Shivaay pointed towards Rudra’s room and Om nodded his head in No and went into the room while Shivaay followed.

“Maa” Shivay calls his mom as maa very less often. He being taught in high class elite school he just learned to call his mother as mom and not maa, same condition with his brothers and sister.

But now when he is calling her as maa and not mom then its obvious that his mother would look at him with the affection that mom doesn’t has.

“You at this time Shivay?” Mrs. Maa turned back towards him and his father looked up.

“Nothing maa… I just wanted to sleep with you two today just like I used to sleep in my childhood” he walked in sat on the couch placed in his parents room by the side of the bed.

“Ohh no… then how would I romance my wife today… not happening beta… you go and sleep in your room” huh… the buddha… I mean Shakthi Singh Oberoi and romance… this is very natural but like this right away in front of his son is a bit embarrassing for both mother and son duo.

“Shut up Shakthi ji… at least think what you are saying in front of whom” Pinky ji blushed stating this comment and Shivay grinned and felt proud to have such parents.

“Why? He is also getting married in a month… he should also know how to romance his wife to keep his wife happy” this father is definitely going to make his son’s face a red tomato as all his comments is making Shivay feel a bit more shy.

“Nothing can happen to you” Pinky said sitting over the bed.

“Papa… I won’t allow my wife to be unhappy anytime, this is my promise to you” Shivay neared their bed and stood still at the right corner.

“Come… lie down and keep your head over my lap” Pinky welcomed her son gladly and he too like a good boy lied down over his mother’s lap.

“Shivay… if you still want time before marriage then it’s fine beta… we will wait for you to be ready” Shakthi affectionately patted his son’s back.

“No Papa, I should get married now… and believe me Anika would be the best girl anyone would get into their life as a life partner” he voiced out his liking about the girl.

“Yes… she is seriously a nice girl, the way she easily gets along with everyone is the best nature I found about her” Pinky ruffled Shivay’s hair.

“Yeah… she respects everyone although she becomes straightforward when she dislikes something” Shakthi remembered the last day incident when Anika said a big no when Shakthi made a plan to eat sweets to his heart full on Shivay’s marriage neglecting his diabetes.

“That she did good… doctor has advised you not to have sweets and here you were planning to have rasgullas” the saas of the bride too scolded her husband.

But the groom is there to support his father “don’t worry papa, I will bring sweets for you, no one would get to know” Shivay winked only to receive a light slap from his mother on his cheeks.

“This father-son duo won’t let me sleep peacefully ever” Pinky said.

“Hawww… so this was your love towards me? Only your son is important to you right… okay go… I am not talking to anyone of you” Priyanka Singh Oberoi stood at the door step and watched how her elder brother is getting pampered although she is the younger one.

“Haaww Prinku, what will happen now… see Maa and Papa loves me most” Shivay teased her more.

“This is not correct, you just get up from my mother’s lap” she demanded and pulled Shivay’s hand while he clutched Pinky’s dupatta more and buried his face.

Priyanka failed to get him up and looked at her father.

“Papa… you know what you two have destroyed him fully, see he doesn’t have courtesy to get up when his sister is requesting” she made faces but the Teaser Singh Oberoi is in no mood to get into his sister’s emotional blackmail… sorry whitemail, as they named it, this time.

“Hawww didn’t Papa and Maa said to you that they have brought you home from a dustbin and I am their only real son… this is not done Maa Papa” he is gone… he is definitely gone now.

“I came from dustbin… okay then you came from garbage, hahaha… Garbage Singh Oberoi” she teased showing him her tongue and he immediately got up to chase her, while she continued teasing him while running.

“And yeah bhabhi would love me more… you will just see… who loves garbage huh? But people do love dustbin as dustbin keeps the environment clean… yes… bhabhi would be in my team… hehe… huhu… haha” she in front running away and making faces while he is chasing her from back.

“You just stop… today you are gone for sure, why will your bhabhi love you more huh? She will love me the most and then if the love would be left then it will get distributed for the rest” knowingly or unknowingly he has claimed her as his only, he can’t even share her love with his siblings… such a selfish man.

“Why? She would be my bhabhi first and then your wife… go and ask her whom she loves more… me or you” practical challenge but if Mr. Oberoi calls to ask this then won’t it be awkward but he accepted the challenge.

“Let me catch you first and then I would call her” he continued chasing her when suddenly a plan stroke his brain.

“Ahh…” he held his chest and sat down with a thud as his eyes were on the verge of closing.

“Bhaiya” the happy faces suddenly changed into tensed one as everyone neared him and Prinku ran to him and took his head over her lap and tears formed in her eyes.

“Bhaiya… wake up… bhaiya” she jerked him while he shot open his eyes and with the biggest smile just like a fool he said…

“Yaayyy… got you… this technique is so working, yeah… got you” he got up and smiled more bright.

“I am not going to speak to you… what kind of joke was that?” Priyanka looked away crossing her hand over her chest.

“Awww… look at me… okay Papa Maa loves you most” no response from his sisters side.

“I love you mostest” his weird words.

“I know that” she agreed but no response.

“Your Om bhaiya and Rudra loves you mostestestest” will he stop making words?

“I know that” simple response but no response.

“Your bhabhi will love you more than anyone else” he had to agree.

“Yeahh… of course she will… I am not dumb and stupid and naughty like you three” she completed and looking at her brother’s faces she could not help but broke down into laughter.

“Naughty girl” the three brothers said and hugged their sister.

“Now let’s call Anika bhabhi to know whom she loves the most” as soon she completed her sentence instant… instant reply came from one’s mouth.

“Me… without any doubt” poor he… stupidly he made excuse for his brothers and sister to tease him more.

“Tring tring… tring tring…” Anika’s phone rang.

“Tring tring… tring tring…” it repeated.

“Yeah hello…” at last the owner picked up the phone.

“Anika di… I want to ask you a question” as instructed by Anika none will call her bhabhi until they get married so di… yeah… di is the only relation for them now.

“Yeah say Priyanka” Anika sat on her bed as she just freshened up and Priyanka’s call came.

“Wo… whom will you love the most after you get married to this stupid fellow named Shivay” how can this sister leave a chance to call his brother stupid nth time that day.

“Of course you three… Om, Rudra and my dearest Prinku” woaahh… what a relation.

“Yaayyyy… thank you… see bhaiya I told you na… now listen I have won the argument so you just keep quite and go back to your room… I love you Anika di” Prinku squealed in happiness.

Shivay though felt a bit jealous because his wife will be loving his siblings more but he managed and the brothers sister teasing session continued.

“Ishana di let’s do something for our siblings, they two are so shy still in front of each other” Rudy boy said as they walked down the lane. He and Om is out for a walk.

“Yeah we should, but let’s give them more time and I think they would themselves come close gradually, so just relax and tell me how is your studies are going?” wasn’t  Om enough to ask the question.

“Yeah good, but why are you asking di?” little poor child ahh…

“Just concerned about you or else if you did not get good marks this time then we would fix a marriage of your’s then enjoy the wedlock life” Ishana teased but this boy took this on heart.

“No… no no… I will study hard, you just dont worry” he was jumping while saying this when he didn’t notice and stumped his foot over someone’s.

He looked up and a girl was standing staring him back.

“I am sorry” he said and went forward though the girl didn’t utter a single word.

“Wait mister” she called him and he stopped.

“Di… I would call you back in a while” he cut the call and looked back.

That girl went close to him and jumped on his foot.

“I am sorry” she said and walked off without listening to his ‘who the hell are you’

“You are very cute you know that right?” Indian clock read that it’s midnight when the groom called his bride to talk to her… reason, they have not met after the day their marriage got fixed and hardly they got time to speak over phone.

So this night he is adamant to talk to her, and she too badly wanted that.

“Why buttering me suddenly huh?” she always catches his cuteness and his antics to impress her.

“Not buttering D… that’s the truth, do you even realise that my siblings just love you so much that they call you any random time and you never ask them to cut the call while you just force me to cut the call whenever I call saying that you are busy” this seriously happens that whenever he calls she remains busy and whenever his siblings call her she is not at all busy.

“It’s because you always call me at working hours” she cleared his doubt though he didn’t bother.

“But… I am your fiance, I must be the most important to you” this childishness in his voice… ohhh… she loves this childishness so much.

“You are bub… but everyone else related to you are also equally important right? After all I am going to be a part of all of them” her every point is correct but then too he just wanted to hear that he is the most important one.

“Anika… you won’t leave me ever right?” his tactics to hear that she would be only his ever and forever.

“Why would I leave you? See… if I leave you then you won’t leave me that easily so yeah… nothing could be done and I will have to bear you the entire life” she chuckled.

“Then for now bear me in your room, open your window” is he crazy.

She ran towards her window and saw him trying to climb the pipe and at last he succeeded as he jumped into her room.

“Are you crazy?” she asked.

“We have not met since long and I just couldn’t take this anymore so I came” he sat on her bed. Fortunately Ishana is sleeping in another room that day.

“You are okay… you are not hurt right?” she checked his hands to spot any bruise and scold him but the next thing he did just stiffened her.

His hands suddenly brought her up and wrapped near his chest tightly as his breath fanned over her hairs, his heart beats were uneven and it’s soothing down slowly.

“Shivay…” she could just take his name in his embrace.

“Please reciprocate” he requested as her hands were still stiffened and hearing that she pulled him much closer smiling broadly as ever.

“I won’t leave you… and don’t do these stunts again okay?” she asked brushing his back.

“I just couldn’t stop myself from coming… wanted to see you once… don’t tell this to anyone” he feared teasings now.

“I won’t… I also don’t want to get teased” she clutched his kurta more.

They sat on the bed and she kept her head over his shoulder. He too pulled her close and the time went slowly and steadily.

Suddenly his phone rang disturbing him but as he saw that the call is from New York he picked it up soon.

“What?” the ground beneath his feet slipped away while she stared at him not understanding what has suddenly happened.

After Shivaay’s mission of getting gyaan…OM filled with happiness….

Days are passing….Annika getting a beautiful glow nd shine day by day…..

Everyday ….every one trying their best to keep her happy…..as usual Rudra’s childishness continuing….

One day Rudy declared that by saying…

“until Pari’s entry into Mansion…he is the kid of the house …so they should bare his childishness”….

They all smiled for his words nd said…

“after Pari’s entry also…he should be treated as kid…but dont give chance to Pari to treat him as kid”….

Hearing it he kept a pout nd all laughed…

Annika entered into 7 th month…she clearly sensing the baby’s movements inside nd she started enjoying it…she told the same to all nd others also enjoyed feeling happy while sensing the baby’s movements by keeping the hand on her growing bump….

Shivaay became a child sensing baby’s movements…he cant express his happiness….seeing his happiness Annika felt more happy…even he started talking with the baby ….sometimes he talks with the baby in the night while Annika is sleeping…Annika smiled herself for his acts….

Dr.asked for a scan as Annika entered in 7 th month….They did as per Dr.s instruction ….after scan Dr. said no need to worry nd baby is growing in very well manner…

But Shiv asked Dr. as he has a heart problem…so is there any chance to it carry over to baby….

Dr. said to him that no need to get worry….Baby’s hear beating is perfect…still u have any doubt …u just do an another scan which is an advanced one in which we will get a clear picture nd discription of baby’s inner organs but dont try to know the gender….

Shiv said that…”he never bother about the gender of baby…for him both boy nd girl are equal…in fact if he blesses with girl ..he feels more happy….he is asking it to know about the baby’s health…he dont want any type of problem that arise in baby’s health…wtever he can do for it he will ….after that everything depends on god nd we welcome it”…

Dr. praised him nd she gave him the priscription writing the name of the scan…nd said after completing the scan …show her the report ..there is no need for Annika to come…

He nodded nd later they both reached OM….

when they all asked about the scan report he said wt Dr told to him…

“dont worry Billu….all will be well….”said Dadi

2 days later taking the report of the scan….Shiv went to Dr. to show the report accompanying Om

After seeing the report Dr. said “every thing is fine…baby’s organs are working in a well manner nd very healthy too”…

Saying thank u to the Dr. …ShivOm came out…relieving from the tension ..Shiv hugged Om…

Om patted on Shiv to calm down him nd said….

They both hugged him saying congrats…

“waise u said u cant come until the delivery time”…asked Dadi…

“haan Mummiji….but 20 days back when we attended a baby shower function in our neighbourhood’s house…we decided nd declared to Shaktiji nd Jethji as we dont know wt u will do but with in 15 days we should go to India…we want to spend the time with Annika nd family nd want to enjoy every moment”…said Pinky

“in fact we are also eagerly waiting to come here nd joining in the happiness…so we fastly completed the matters nd packed up every thing sucessfully nd returned”….said Tej…

“we are very happy seeing u all…well aap sab jaake fresh ho jao…we will prepare dinner”said Shiv

After one hour they all gathered at dining for dinner….all enjoyed a lot…seeing their happiness nd love ….Annika felt more happy…

After dinner they all spent a quality time…by 10 pm Pinky said…

“Annika ..go nd sleep…we will talk tomorrow”…

All others also said the same…

Saying gud night to each other they all went to their rooms….

Next Day

After getting fresh up…

They all gathered at dining for breakfast…

“Mummiji…Annika is in 7 th month…so we will do baby shower”…said Pinky

“bilkul teek kaha…aaji panditse baath karke shub muhurth nikalvayenge”…said Dadi

” u fix the date nd time…we all will make arrangements”…said RiVya

After completing the breakfast…Pinky contacted Pandit….after few minutes he said …day after tomorrow….morning at 10:30 is a good time for both mother nd child…so u can do it “…

Pinky informed the same to all…

“to do it wt we need:…asked Bhavya…

Dadi said wt to do nd how to do…

Hearing it …before they felt sad as there are no parents for Annika…

“we will bring everything for Annika as her parents …haan I know mein saasu maa hu per maabhi huna …so its my responsibility”….said Jahnavi…

Tej supported Jahnavi…..

“okay then I will arrange other things as Dadi”…said Pinky…

“thanks bade maa”…said Shiv…

“shut up shiv…u r our son too…in fact u all r our children…dont say thanks again…our happiness always lays in ur happiness …understand…so tayyari shuru karo…jao”…said Jahnavi…

Tej also said the same like Jah..

seeing it Dadi felt so happy like others…

From that day all became busy in making preparations ….

Annika nd Dadi sitting happily started watching them…

The Day of Baby Shower…

OM was decorated with flowers nd number of balloons too….the decoration is shining with lights…every one are so happy for it…its clearly refelcting on their faces….

Annika cant express her happiness experiencing their love nd affection….

Guests started coming…they invited important guests as they dont want to make Annika sophocate nd feel stress….

All family members got ready in beautiful attires giving challenge to each other….

Finally as per Dadi’s order….Annika came to hall with RiVya….

She is shining in red saree with an added glow…Pinky put a kala teeka to Annika to avoid bad nazar….

Shivaay was mesmerized seeing her….he starred at her losting himself….OmRu brought him into senses….

Annika sat in the decorated Queen’s chair….

As per Dadi’s instructions…..Jahnavi went near Annika nd she filled Annika’s lap with so many gifts nd both Tejvi blessed her nd unborn child….

Later Pinky made Annika eat sweet nd filled her lap with gifts nd along with Shakthi she blessed Annika ….

Everyone blessed Annika nd the unborn baby…

All felt happy…after lunch guests left…

All went to their room to relax….

“WT I AM DOING WITHOUT KNOWING IT… U R GOING TO GIVE BIRTH TO A BABY”...he asked in a naughty tone…

“shut up.”…she lovingly scolded him….

He smiled nd tightneing his grip…

“all blessed u with so many gifts….but I didnt….bolo kya gift chahiye tujko”…he asked looking at her through mirror….

Holding his hands which r encirled around her bump…….

“isse bade gift aur kya hoga….aapne jo kuch diya wo kaafi hai…inke saath sab ka pyaar bhi mili mujhe….aur kuch nahi chahiye….zindagibhar yeh khushi aisahi rehna hai”…she said

“sirf zindagibhar nahi….7 (saat) janmothak aisa hi rahega” he said placing a kiss on her neck again in hard….

“aah…its hurting”…said Annika showing the necklace while enjoying his lovable acts…

“oh…sorry…I will” …said he helped her in removing the jewellary…

Later when he held her pallu…

“Shivaay….wt is this”…..she asked

“I am helping u yaar”…he said very innocently hiding the naughty smile…

“achhaa..bas…thanks for ur help “…said she took away her pallu from him nd went to wash room…..

He smiled…

After taking some rest …in the evening…..all gathered in the hall….

Annika came there nd sat …Gauri gave her juice…

Rudy said …finally the video of function got ready nd now he will play it nd even photos also came…so untill he will set the video ….hv a look at the photos…”

After few minutes he played the video….they all involved in it…

After sometime….noticing Annika’s movements…

“Annika…wt happened” ….asked Pinky

“I am so hungry Maa”….she said

Pinky looked at the time nd it showed 8:15 pm…

“O my maatha..its 8:15…arrey chalo sab…Annika is feeling so hungry….bechare mere bachhi…lunch ke baad kuch khayi nahi…chalo chalo”….said Pinky

Hearing it Rudy stopped the Video…

“but we all sat here nd we forgot about dinner preparation…now wt to do”….asked Jah…

“Shivaay…where is Shiv?”….asked Om

“may be he is on call”….said Jah

“Papa aur Chote Papa bhi nahi”…..said Gauri noticing their absence….

“Okay …no problem…me nd Rudy will prepare dinner…tab tak..Gauri ..take some fruits nd give them to Bhabhi”…said Om while moving to kitchen…

Rudy nd Gauri followed him…

But the 3 were stood with a little open mouth after wt they saw in the kitchen when they reached there….

In the Kitchen:

“wo nahi Shivaay…yeh daalo…for both mother nd baby’s health its a good one.”…said Shakti while stirring a dish which is cooking on the stove

“are u sure Papa”…asked Shiv

“haan Shiv…wt Shakthi said is right”…said Tej while tasting a dish….

Shiv did the same as per Shakthi’s advice…

Bhavya who came there to bring water she saw OmRu nd Gauri who stood like statues…

She didnt understand wt happened to them….she went near them but hearing the Senior Obros nd Shiv’s voices…she looked into kitchen nd seeing the 3…

“Bhabhi…Mom”…she shouted …

Hearing her shouts Tej , Shakthi nd Shiv looked at her…

Annika , Pinky, Dadi nd Jahnavi rushed to kitchen nd seeing the 3 in kitchen who are preparing dinner ..they stood in surprise…

“mere pyaare bachhe”…said Dadi while taking away the nazar to them…

“Tej !!”…Jah

“O my maatha..shaktiji”…Pinky

Annika starred at them feeling happy….

Seeing Annika…

“Annika…go ..go nd sit at dining …just 5 minutes…will serve dinner”…said Shakti…

“arrey…aise khadake kya dekhraheho tum log…come here nd take that finished dishes nd arrange on the dining” ….said Tej to OmRu nd RiVya….

“Ji Papa”…said RiVya moved…

“O my maatha…Shaktiji…Jaha tak mujhe yaad hai…Shivaay jab kitchen duty liyethe tabse aap kabhi kitchen pe aaya nahi…but today u r preparing for Annika”…asked Pinky in surprise….

“Haan…I am giving advise to Shivaay as how to prepare a healthy soup for Annika nd baby'”…said Shakti while tasting the soup…

“Tej….aaj tak meine tumko kitchenpe kaam karthe dekhi nahi….lekin tu aaj yaha”…said Jah …

“of course…kyon…waise yeh tho mere betikeliye aur Pari keliye karrahahu…by the way Pari….is it right…tum sab issi naamse bulathena baby ko”…he asked to divert…

“yes Dad…Pari”…said Rudy

“lets go…take the dishes”…said Tej went to dining….

“kya ho raha hai”…asked OmRu, JahPinky nd RiVya at a time…

Dadi nd Annika smiled nd moved to dining…

Shiv nd Shakti shrugged their shoulders nd went to dining…

They all sat at the dining…

In fact half of Annika’s hungry left away after experiencing Tej nd Shakti’s affection towards her…

After serving the dishes….RiVya sat with their boys…

Gauri tasted the soup…

“wow Chote Papa…its really delicious” said Gauri

“when u will concieve…at that time I will prepare this soup for u ..promise”..said Shakti…

Hearing it Gauri blushed nd Om downed his head feeling embarassment…

“haan Gauri …waiting to hear from u both” said Pinky…

“Chote Maa …plz first Shiv …then me”…said Om to divert…

“haan first Shiv, then u nd later Rudy”….said Pinky

“mein …mein tho abhibhi bachha hu”…said Rudy with a pout

Annika is enjoying their nok jhok without eating anything….

“Maa ..ye aise khayegi nahi…inko khilana padegi”…said Shiv while taking the spoon to feed Annika…

“u dont worry Shiv….I am here to take care of her…”said Pinky sat beside Annika nd taking the bowl into her hand she started feeding Annika….

Seeing her affection….a thin layer formed in Annika’s eyes…

Noticing it….

“Annika …wt happened…is it hot”…asked Pinky

“nahi Maa…ye bahut tasty nd mitah bhi ….aapke pyaar jaise”….said Annika

“Maa…why did u stand there…come inside…”…..said Shiv while coming near to her…

“kya Annika sogayi”….asked Pinky

“haan just now…kya unse kuch kaam hai….i will wake ….”….before he complete it…

“no no…no need to wake her up…i came to give this milk to u….if she feels hungry in mid night ….give it to her…..when months increasing ….she cant eat more…its better if we give her in intervals …so it helps to her if she feels hungry”…said she gave Milk glass to Shiv….

He starred at her….

“aisa kyon dekh raheho”…asked Pinky

“aap sach mein maa hai maa”…..said Shiv

“o my maatha…tujko aaji patha chala yeh…chalo chupchapke so jao….haan take care of her”…said she left hiding her smile….

He smiled nd closng the doors he came near the bed nd keeping the milk glass on the side table ….he laid on the bed beside Annika…..nd keeping hand on her while moving close to her…..he closed his eyes…with a joy filled heart…

NOTE: In the previous chapter, the story has taken a leap of 10 years not 8 …I apologize for the typing error.

Buying the paper lanterns for the girl he took hold of his bike and through the snow made a dash towards home.

Though he was not in India and kites were not meant for Germany skies but the lighted lanterns gave the same feeling and with Harsha he felt like he was with his Sona.

He did have a few friends here in Cologne and was in a relationship but he still wanted to visit his long lost family somewhere in slums of Mumbai.

Passing through the chocolate museum as they called the museum he suddenly recalled the hot-headed girl who had been fighting with the guide about the museum history.

A smile made way on his stubble covered cheeks…

Speeding his motorbike he crossed the museum and the little memory.

“So the Indian food in this European city is ready…is that Anika?” hugging her from back he enquired and her lavender flavored body oil welcomed his nostrils.

“Yeah, Gaurav needs to sleep early and that’s why I cooked early.” Tasting the black lentil gravy she answered and turned back.

“I heard you were talking with kids.” She told him coming out of the hug.

“Isn’t it interesting Anika, ten years have passed…so much has changed. I was thinking that only as I thought New Year is about to start.” Taking the seat on the kitchen table he said thoughtfully.

“hmmm… I never thought I would ever be able to see this kind of life and see I am living in this English city for the past eight years.

“I still remember those days, those horrible… and he was cut midway

“No Shivay, those were just tough days…not horrible. You too believe they made us strong. All these years have made us stronger.” She said looking at her kids and especially her son who was laughing at something his sister has pointed out on the television screen.

“so on that note… we have been through so much and now when I have taken this much-needed break…why don’t we focus on us.” Suddenly grabbing her waist he whispered to her.

“Why not but let’s complete our business after flying the lanterns and eating the New Year cake.” And she ran planting the kiss.

The sudden kiss on his chin was a big tease but he needed to wait.

“I know they are going to select you Sona… changing his clothes in their one room rented house he declared.

“I never wanted to do it, I am doing it only because you are insisting.” She answered opening the colorful beads attached to her hairs.

They have just returned after her dance performance for the audition they went to this morning. She never understood why this guy wanted her dance to become her passion… he managed to spend nearly all of his little savings to make her reach the place she gave the audition.

“By the way, there are throwing a little New Year party outside… are you coming or not.” She asked him as she poured herself a glass of water.

The age-old kite covered securely with the poly sheet to protect it from any damage fluttered on the single window.

“I know brother… through this platform, he wants to search you and though I deny I am trying everything to be selected in this dance show.” She told the kite, his brother’s last gift.

“I am tired, I will sleep.,” he told her from the washroom.

“The society will again need us to pretend brother sister and I don’t want that anymore.” He told to himself.

When she was small and his mother was with them people never asked anything but when his mother died suddenly and she has grown old, people looked at them with questioning eyes.

“I could not believe my brother used to be your friend,” frustrated on his answer she spoke.

“Why?”

“I mean all the stories you have told me, he was a fun loving guy, laborious and here look at you… not interested in celebrations, festivals. How even you manage Rangeele?” she asked fluttering his big eyes fully knowing he was going to be angry hearing this pet name given by her.

“Stop …I am telling you how I manage.” and he ran behind her but suddenly his mobile phone pinged showing the arrival of a new message.

“Oye Bandaria….come, read this message. I don’t understand all this khitir pitir in English.” He called her.

Though contemplating on whether it was a ploy to settle the scores or he was indeed truthful she came inside the room and when she was assured he was not lying she came closer.

And started reading the opened message-

“Miss Sonali, you are selected for the audition you gave for DANCING INDIA….

He could not hear more than that…and started dancing on some long lost tune, in some long lost style.

He felt one step closer to meet his friend.

So as I said I have revealed a few things here in this chapter…I hope you enjoy this .

 You know what I am amazed of the plays life keeps playing with people; There are times when you think you can’t take anymore but when it passes you think about it sometime alter and muse about it. I always say no one is as weak as they think, we are stronger than we think…we can do anything and destiny can possible everything.

Our prospects keep changing with time, what we thought was the right thing may turn the biggest foolishness after a couple of years.

Also what one wants is not what other is wishing; One’s life could be the death of other.

if I had been writing it months back then maybe its fate would have been different but I am happy with the way I am leading this story.

Samar and Jaya have a romantic date. Samar surprises her with a lovely dinner plan. He wants to convince Jaya. He had upset her before by calling her mum a drama queen and liar. He wants to calm her anger. She melts her heart. He gives her roses and asks her for a dance. When she refuses, he sings for her and pleases her. They have a moment of romance.
